Méabh O' Rourke | Artist Bio
Méabh O Rourke was born in 1994 and spent her childhood in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, an area steeped in the equine lifestyle. Her first experience as an artist was admiring her grandmother, Maureen Shines', artwork in her home in Killeshal.
Méabh is highly influenced by her own grandmother, Maureen Shine, along with several other highly regarded artists such as Tony O Connor, Peter Curling, and John Fitzgerald.
It was in following the progression of their careers, and the joy that their work instilled in people, that Méabh realised that she wanted to pursue a career in this field.
Méabh went on to study through practical experience, learning through trial and error and self learning studying the works Tony O Connor and Bonny Snowdon as her teachers.
